Virus - Before & After

The past eight days have been tough. Evan had a fever of 103.9 on Saturday morning, when we took him to Urgent Care. We took him to his regular doctor on Monday morning. After blood tests both times, the results were the same. A nasty virus was doing its damage. Evan returned to daycare on Wednesday, but he's still feeling some ill effects. He's slowly returning to his old self, but he's extra fussy and extra clingy lately. I'll let you try to figure out which pics were when he was sick and which are after he started feeling better. Enjoy the 4th of July!!

ALMOST MAY!!
Easter has come and gone. Toby, Kelly, and Riley made a trip back to the Midwest. Evan had tubes put into his ears to help eliminate the chronic ear infections. Meanwhile, the kids are getting antsy for summer to get here. Angela and I are working hard as ever. In the meantime, enjoy some more pictures and videos! Lots of postings to come!

Spring Thaw
As we close in on the last of the snow, I figured it was time to give an update. Evan has still been fighting chronic ear infections. After repeated doctor visits and different antibiotics, we decided to try something different and took him to our chiropractor. Evan enjoyed his little rubdown, and then it was time for a visit to an allergy specialist.
Good news is that some of the things that Evan's family doctor said that we was allergic to turned out to be a false-positive. So, Evan IS NOT allergic to milk and other dairy products. Unfortunately, he is allergic to peanuts, eggs, and cat dander. We worked with a nutritionist to identify good food substitutes, and we also purchased a few epi-pens, in case Evan has a severe allergic reaction to something.
The bad news is that we had to give our cat, Sneak, away. I posted pictures of her at the local grocery stores and with some of the local vet clinics. I had a call on Saturday afternoon, March 14th, from a couple who was looking for a cat to give to their pastor and his wife. They stopped over, and, twenty minutes later, Sneak was packed up and headed off to Minnesota. Anna was crying, but not as much as I did after they had left. When Angela was pregnant, I knew there might be a chance that we would have to let Sneak go, and, even though I thought I was prepared for that day, it still hurt to have to say goodbye.
Anyway, let's focus on the warmer weather and good things to come. Enjoy some photos and videos! HAPPY SPRING, EVERYONE!!
